The Slow Lamp is an interactive, relational light object that exists alongside us. There are two variants of The Slow Lamp, Original and the Living Edition, where the former is designed for personal spaces and the latter for social settings.

The Slow Lamp begins with a simple question: instead of fighting for our attention, what if technology could give our attention back to the world?

The Slow Room is a model for slowness. The Slow Room is designed to invite one to slow down and reflect on life through meaningful activities and interaction with objects in the room.

The Slow Room is also setting for which previous Behold experiments and The Foil Series reside, giving each activity and object context and meaning  within the walls of The Slow Room.

Featuring a set of cutlery with unorthodox and dysfunctional design, Disruptive Cutlery is an experiment to find out more about how people interact with everyday objects, and designs which are often taken for granted. The experiment aims to use familiar objects to create moments to slow down and reflect about things which would otherwise be missed.

Casuarina Tree is a project about the dominance of the species on Coney Island. The elements of the island and the characteristics of the tree allowed this particular species to aggressively populate the island. Through the process of repetition, the artefact reflects both the immense and singular presence of the tree. The archival and design process of this project acts as a form of investigation and appreciation for the spirit of the tree.

Where the ‘final product’ is often the most polished piece as a result of all the trials and errors, it brings us to consider a new perspective: is the art the polished final piece, or is the art actually found in the process leading to what most define as the ‘final product’? Within the chaos lies the true narrative and beauty.

Born from the subversion of a popular icon, the Merlion Sling combines the Merlion with the Singapore Sling. Two icons come together in a single image, giving new meaning to each element. At 1/50th scale, even icons look better with a cocktail.
